Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas popularly known as Ashanti was born on October 13, the 13th of October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. She is a singer songwriter and actress of her native United States. Her talent was first noticed as a teen. She signed with Murder Inc. Records, in 2002. That same year, she also featured on The Fat Joe's What's Luv? Also, she was featured on Fat Joe's song What's Luv?! and Ja Rules' track Never On Time, both of which were huge hits. When she released"What's Luv in the top two spots on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and Foolish at the top spot featuring Foolish as her debut single, she became the only female artist to accomplish this feat.
