Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She is also the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is well-known for starting modern scientific studies of children's memory as eyewitnesses and also the application of child victims in court contexts. Professor Goodman published widely and has won several grants and was awarded many national and international distinctions. She has provided consulting on research and policy to numerous agencies and government departments across the world. She is a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 55). Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division as well as three divisions of Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
