Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is a British American musician and sitarist is best known for her music. She was awarded the British House of Commons' Shield, which is the youngest and also the first female recipient. Apart from nine Grammy nominations and nine Grammy nominations, she also became the very first Indian-origin musician to perform at the award ceremony. Anoushka Sitar Shankar is one of the Indian young sitar artist. She is a student as well as daughter of the famous Ravi Shankar. Her childhood was spent bouncing around from London and New Delhi. In the age of thirteen she performed her first performance in New Delhi. She then moved to Encinitas CA, where she obtained her High School diploma with honors in the year 1999. The career of Anouskha as a recorder and performer is impressive, despite her youth. She frequently joins her father in performances this she has been doing for a number of years. She released her debut solo album Anourag in 1998. The album was released in 2002. her Grammy award-winning album Live at Carnegie Hall. She's performed in all major venues around the globe. Anoushka's career goes beyond the realm of music. In 2002, she wrote a book entitled Bapi The of My Life. of My Live this is an illustrated biography that pays special tribute to her father Ravi Shankar. She has also acted in a number of films. In 2003, she was in the movie Dance Like a Man where she plays the role of a teenage Bharat Natyam dancer. Anoushka Shakar's career as a professional will only continue to grow and grow. We are looking forward to seeing many interesting things coming from her. Anoushka Shakar, born in England was a major part of her life between London Delhi. After moving to California she completed the high school. at the age of nine She began studying music alongside her father. Her debut performance on the sitar came at her 75th Birthday celebration in Delhi, four years after. Anoushka, who accompanied her father during his world tour, gained an impressive amount of experience. When she was in her teens, she appeared at Carnegie Hall as part of Peter Gabriel's WOMAD and even recorded with George Harrison. She was the youngest and only female recipient of the House of Commons Shield awarded by the British Parliament in recognition of her artistry and musicianship as an outstanding musician from the Asian Arts.
